I love movies and i watch one movie at least every weekend that i get.It need not be a new , recently released one. But, i will make sure that i watch one movie at least every week end.World movies fascinates me.I love watching movies from across the world. In particular , i like Chinese movies.Though they are under rated and rated less that Hollywood, i personally feel that they are in fact much much better than Hollywood. The only problem is the technology that hinders them. But for technology and the modern hi tech devices, Hollywood stunts and action genre movies would be nothing compared to the Chinese movies. The action movies and are just stunning and done with great perfection and precision. There are many chines movies that i love.I watch them whenevr i get time. But, sometimes they are disturbing when you see tyhe same scenes in more than one movie.

Edwin A. Salt, the Spanish thriller which was meant to be acted by Tom Cruise will be acted by Angelina Jolie. It seems that Tom Cruise wasn’t happy with something which he did not mention clearly and so the movie maker has talked to Jolie to strike a deal with her for the movie. In fact, there has already been significant changes and adaptations made to the script and story so as to suit it for Angelina. The movie is basically about a CIA agent who is accused of spying for the Russian army and moves in the direction of she trying to reveal that she is not.Cruise has definitely missed out of this big movie. That is for sure. But, Jolie fans are happy to see her in this action packed flick.I am one among the millions. It is believed that the movie will have a new title to suit the change that has been made.We fans of Jolie are eagerly awaiting this movie of hers.

This the first movie where we could see an actual psycho. There were characters like this played earlier, even by the ulaga naayagan kamal haasan himself in Sigappu rojakkal. But then this was something totally different. It had every element of psycho-ness in the character portrayed by Dhanush. To be very frank i didn’t watch the movie in the theaters as i was young when it was released and by the reputation Danush had from his earlier and maiden film “Thulluvatho ilamai”.There was nothing appreciable in him in his earlier movie thulluvatho ilamai. In fact, people thought that the other co-star in thulluvatho ilamai would have done a better job. There was not much scope in that movie that was directed by his father KasthooriRaja.Danushs’ acting in this movie was simply great and perhaps one of the greatest acting ever as a psycho. The climax scene where he takes all the beating initially from Aadhi, stays composed, dances to a tune and gives him back was awesome. You couldn’t have imagined anything better from him.A number of factors contributed to the success of the movie.Firstly,a clear script and screenplay, secondly yuvan Shankar Raja’s music and thirdly the acting of Dhanush and Sonia Agarwal. The film has a strong adult content in it showing pedophiles and also Dhanush as a fetish lover. The Flashback that Dhanush narrates to Sonia makes us feel the storyline and we do feel that he is indeed a good psycho
!!But, this is why i chose to not see it when it was released in the theaters.:):)

Tare Zameen par(تارے زمین پر,) literally translates to”Stars on the earth”.It is an 2007 award winning Indian Hindi movie directed and produced by Aamir Khan.Aamir Khan had done a great job in this movie, like any other movie of his. But, he was next only to the young eight year old Darsheel Safary who suffers miserabl;y at the hands of his teachers and parents who fail to understand about his problems. It is Aamir Khan, who is posted in Darsheels school who finds that he was dyslexic and reveals this tp their parents. The parents are not convinced. That scene was what i loved in the movie the most.He tries to explain the meaning of Dyslexia to Darsheels father. He just doesn’t get convinced when Aamir gets his an Electronic items box that has something written in Korean/Japanese/Chinese .. Whatever and asks him to read it.The perfect idea to make him realize the problem. The other scene was where the father comes to know of his sons problem , sees him yet leaves the place with tears running from his eyes. The movie was nominated for many awards and the delhi government freed the movie of its tax.The famous Walt Disney have aquired the DVD rights for the movie, the first ever for an Indian movie.Proud moment for all the Indians and of course, the Khan himself.

Apocalypto is an American movie written and directed by Mel Gibson. The movie revolves around the time of the Mayan empire and the stage when it started to decline. The declining Mayan empire wants to reclaim its power and so they search for people from the rest of the civilizations to give them as human sacrifices. One man stands tall amongst this, escapes from them and eventually saves his family also. The very start of the movie was very thrilling showing a dense quiet forest, and suddenly a chase by all the tribes to catch a tapir.people of the tribe make fun of a fat man because he was impotent and his mother-in-law always scolds and beats him up saying that he was a “Useless”.After, the tribe is captures by the Mayas, the women are sold out in a market, when the old lady is left free as she is old and “Useless” for the customers. The Former sees this happen and when we see this, we do feel that this is what we call sentiment.I love the dialog when one of the mayan says that they shold quit searching for Jaguar Paw, and “The Omen is Bad”.Eventually he dies of a snake bite.Whats comical in the movie that i noticed is that many of the names are animalised.Like jaguar paw,Turtles run, smoke Frog and so on.I really loved this movie for it showed as to how the life would have been at those times. The savage way of life.My rating would be a 9 out of a possible 10. Yes, 9/10.

This is the best title that this movie can have. Why? Because 90 percent of the movie was shot inside a phone booth.Would you believe it?The story just revolves around two main actors, of course the hero and the villain. No prizes for guessing that right.Additionally three supporting roles in the form of cops and the heroine.Basically the movie is a thriller where a man is trapped inside a phone booth by a sniper who is on the phone. The perfect blend of Blackmail and violence is portrayed by the villain. In the beginning when the hero tries to leave the telephone booth after making a telephone call, the phone rings and when he receives the call, all the blackmailing and stuffs start. For the rest of the movie, he is inside the phone booth fearing and obeying the commands of the sniper. The storyline in crux is as to how he finally manages to escape from the sniper and is saved by the cops. All this is given in an well embedded cinematography, and screenplay with his suspense element till the very end of the movie.Definitely a must watch.I would rate it as an 8/10.

People urged me to watch this movie. And it was a long time since i actually saw any movie. So, i decide to watch this one day.My friends were all praises for this high entertainer comedy.Borat Sagdiyev,is a TV anchor/journalist from Kazakhstan who happens to travel to the Americas to film a documentary. The cross culture differences is allegedly the theme of the movie. But, as far as i can see it has more anti-jewish things and also anti-kazakh things in it as well.Of copurse there is comedy in the movie. But, i don;t see it as a great movie.I would say it as just another movie. You would not be happy watching this if you are a kazhaki.Borat’s ignorance to the western life styles shows up when he uses the toilet glassette as a wash basin. There are some subtle comedies in the film that i could never forget. He gives a piece of cheese to an American gentleman and says that it was prepared by his wife. The American acknowledges saying that it was nice.Borat reacts that it was made from the milk of…You remember the dialog ?? I wont put it here. The introduction of his sister in the initial stages of the movie is also funny. Its a movie for sure.May, be it is good but not great!!I would give a 6 out of 10 for it.

I was very happy watching this movie. No, i don’t mean that the movie was full of fun and humor.I meant that i was happy that i did not miss this movie. The thinking behind the seven traps are simple great. The movie just showed in the best possible way as what is death fear and how it could change your state of mind and upset you big time. There were basically five traps in the movie.I will take you through them one by one.The mesh trap is actually an array of sharp blades that are positioned in such a way that when a person enters the room, his body will be split and cut into several cubes that fall apart.Secondly, the fire throwing trap which shoots fire when someone enters into the room. They found a way later to test if the room had this trap or not by checking it with a boot before entering the room. The other traps include Acid sprayer,Spear trap, and wire twist trap. The acid sprayer as the name suggests would spray acid on any person who enters the cube but it is not sensed by physical presence, which means the boot trick wont work here. The spear trap is activated by a sound sensor that when activated protrudes the whole room with spears , however the sound when the room is opened is ignored. It is not a flaw in the movie, but it is programmed in such a manner and is discussed in the movie. The last one is one like a tornado made of sharp wires cutting you into pieces.Luckily no one dies in this trap.

“The Seven Samurai” aka “Shichinin no samurai” in its native Japanese language is a Japanese movie of the 1950s’ where the plight of the poor Japanese farmers of an village is showed who suffer at the hands of the local bandits. It is a black and white movie.Even when i saw a DVD rip in my PC a couple of years ago, there wasn’t much clarity.Obviously, an 1954 movie and you can’t expect more. The village farmers who are haunted by the local bandits hire seven Samurais to defend themselves. It is definitely one of the greatest and the most influential movie that i have ever seen. The initial stages of the movie showed poverty and fear in its true form.I don’t remember any of the names to be very frank.Even had i remembered, it would be very difficult for me to spell those Japanese names.Whats great in this serious movie is that , the script still offers some comedy in it.I remember an occasion where an Samurai says before going to the war the next day” Make lots of love with your wife’s today. The climax as expected is won by the samurais but loosing four of them. The villagers celebrate the victory and are busy singing rhymes and harvesting their crops while the Samurais are looking at it ignored by the farmers.May be the film says that the ruling class and the (farmers and peasants)working class can never get together.

“Cube” is an 1997 low budget, psychological horrifying thriller movie that had incorporated science fiction in it.Seven strangers who are strangers to one another, i.e, who have never ever met before or have any idea of each other are put into a very large cube, that has many cubical rooms. They wonder why they are there and have no idea as to who put them in the room. All the seven have some special talents that could possibly get them out of the cube. The cube is a moving and dynamic cube where each and every smaller cube within the large cube moves or changes its place after a certain duration of time. The objective of the seven is to get out of the cube. But, that is never easy with so many kinds of death traps in many cubes there. So, they will have to find if there is a trap, and then proceed. There were seven death traps of different kinds. They will have to find all the different traps, test a room if it has a trap, and then risk by getting into the room. This movie was full of tension when i saw it.Great suspense, action thriller i must say.Watched this in one of my friends room in my college hostel.Generally we watch other genre of movies in our hostel
, but that day he insisted that we watch this, and i must admit that i wasn’t disappointed.
