Mobile phones have come a long way from being mere status symbols and presently occupies a very important place in the field of communication. However such phones should never be used in petrol pumps or in a petroleum bunk. You cannot use a cellular phone in such a place as the battery pack contained in it might have the ability to produce sparks. These sparks can be generated by the high powered battery that keeps a mobile phone alive. These sparks can cause fatal explosions once they come in contact with the petrol and can severely damage both lives and property. Thus there are warning labels and cautious remarks both in the mobile manuals as well as in the petrol pumps. These signs are simply meant to discourage people from using the phones while inside a petrol pump.
