Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical treatment that relies on the vital fluid theory.There are no conclusive evidence that it helps in healing.But, it has been practices for centuries to heal and cure people from various diseases and disorders.Even today there are many forms of acupuncture practiced throughout the world.Since the traditional version of acupuncture originated in the China mainland, it spread to its vicinity with ease.Therefore, today Classical Chinese, Japanese, Tibetan, Vietnamese and Korean acupuncture techniques are practiced and taught throughout the world.Newer scientific studies have revealed that acupuncture has some healing power in some cases, but not always.The term acupuncture is derived from the Latin word “Acus” meaning -”needle”, and “pungere” meaning – “prick”.So , in this technique , needles are pierced in specific parts of the body and thereby the healing effect.
