Tare Zameen par(تارے زمین پر,) literally translates to”Stars on the earth”.It is an 2007 award winning Indian Hindi movie directed and produced by Aamir Khan.Aamir Khan had done a great job in this movie, like any other movie of his.But, he was next only to the young eight year old Darsheel Safary who suffers miserabl;y at the hands of his teachers and parents who fail to understand about his problems.It is Aamir Khan, who is posted in Darsheels school who finds that he was dyslexic and reveals this tp their parents.The parents are not convinced.That scene was what i loved in the movie the most.He tries to explain the meaning of Dyslexia to Darsheels father.He just doesn’t get convinced when Aamir gets his an Electronic items box that has something written in Korean/Japanese/Chinese .. Whatever and asks him to read it.The perfect idea to make him realize the problem.The other scene was where the father comes to know of his sons problem , sees him yet leaves the place with tears running from his eyes.The movie was nominated for many awards and the delhi government freed the movie of its tax.The famous Walt Disney have aquired the DVD rights for the movie, the first ever for an Indian movie.Proud moment for all the Indians and of course, the Khan himself.

This is a real life incident and involves my self and my good friend vaganam.It was a working day and we were in college.So, after college we had come to the bus stand where we usually wait for the buses to come.On that way, due to some reasons the number of buses operating back were less.So, we had to get accommodate to some other bus that we don’t usually take back home.So, we had decided to go on a bus and we took our seat and were talking about the worldly matters and our college matters too.Suddenly, two guys and the bus driver came rushing towards us.We did not know why??It seems those two guys have complained that the bus was full and they had no place to sit.They were senior to us.I mean, we were in third year of engineering then and they were in fourth year of engineering.We didn’t expect such a childish act by them.So, my good friend vaganam siccastically commented ” Bus la seat kuda thara maataanga, kauveri thanni mattum venum nu ketpaanga” which means – ” They won’t give a seat to sit in the college bus, but they will ask for water from the rivers of another state”.This made those guys angry and they called the staff in the bus and we had no other option but to

Marriages are different in different parts of the world.They mean different things to different people.They are done differently,and also they have different level of importance across cultures.Too much of the word difference was to stress the actual difference between marriages in different cultures across the globe.The Indian Hindu marriages generally involve the thali- a sacred thread that is tied by the bridegroom on the neck of the bride during the marriage ceremony.But, that sounds simple, which is not the case tough.Prior to this there are a lot of customs that have to be performed.In fact it all starts almost a week before the actual final knot is tied and prolongs to another two days at least after the marriage is over.The main characteristic features of Indian marriages would be the “Omam” that is developed which is nothing but religious , sacred flames with fumes in the marriage hall.Ya, you heard that right, Flames with Fumes.On the contrary the western marriages start straightaway with the groom kissing the bride and vice versa.That’s the difference.I love it.

Guru is an biopic of Indias greatest Industrialist and business tycoon ,the late Dhirubhai Ambani who is the founder of the Reliance company.The movie is directed and written by the famous Bilingual , or should i say,poly lingual director Mani Ratnam who is known for his slow screenplay and subtle and dim lighting.The movie is all about the ultimate vision of a person called Gurukanth Desai (Abhishek Bachchan) who dreams to be the ultimate GURU of the business and Industry.He fights all odds by either monetary methods or by physical powers to beat all those who are standing between his goals, his ambitions and him.This movie had enough scope for acting for Abhishek Bachan to show his acting talents.Aishwarya rai, his real life wife whom he later married was the co star in the movie and she to had done justice to the movie and her role.Mallika sherawat in her semi bikini(intentional) dancing to the tunes of ARR for the “mayya mayya” song has made many sizzle.The voice of chinmayi was great who lent her voice to the Tamil version of the song.The dialog delivery of the lead pair, acting of Mithun Chakroborthy, and the loving pair of Madhavan and Vidhya Balan had done the trick for the success of the movie.The lip to lip kiss between the two at the beach can never be forgotten.

Apocalypto is an American movie written and directed by Mel Gibson.The movie revolves around the time of the Mayan empire and the stage when it started to decline.The declining Mayan empire wants to reclaim its power and so they search for people from the rest of the civilizations to give them as human sacrifices.One man stands tall amongst this, escapes from them and eventually saves his family also.The very start of the movie was very thrilling showing a dense quiet forest, and suddenly a chase by all the tribes to catch a tapir.people of the tribe make fun of a fat man because he was impotent and his mother-in-law always scolds and beats him up saying that he was a “Useless”.After, the tribe is captures by the Mayas, the women are sold out in a market, when the old lady is left free as she is old and “Useless” for the customers.The Former sees this happen and when we see this, we do feel that this is what we call sentiment.I love the dialog when one of the mayan says that they shold quit searching for Jaguar Paw, and “The Omen is Bad”.Eventually he dies of a snake bite.Whats comical in the movie that i noticed is that many of the names are animalised.Like jaguar paw,Turtles run,smoke Frog and so on.I really loved this movie for it showed as to how the life would have been at those times.The savage way of life.My rating would be a 9 out of a possible 10. Yes, 9/10.

-Lose the -ly adverbs/adjectives, use a picture or feeling power verbs and nouns

Because 90 percent of the movie was shot inside a phone booth.Would you believe it?The story just revolves around two main actors, of course the hero and the villain.No prizes for guessing that right.Additionally three supporting roles in the form of cops and the heroine.Basically the movie is a thriller where a man is trapped inside a phone booth by a sniper who is on the phone.The perfect blend of Blackmail and violence is portrayed by the villain.In the beginning when the hero tries to leave the telephone booth after making a telephone call, the phone rings and when he receives the call, all the blackmailing and stuffs start.For the rest of the movie, he is inside the phone booth fearing and obeying the commands of the sniper.The storyline in crux is as to how he finally manages to escape from the sniper and is saved by the cops.All this is given in an well embedded cinematography, and screenplay with his suspense element till the very end of the movie.Definitely a must watch.I would rate it as an 8/10.
